Gunships shoot down mercies?

Postby armacham01 » 14 Jul 2020, 12:29

I understand gunships can shoot at other gunships, and gunships can shoot at transports (because they are both trapezoids)

But why are gunships able to shoot down mercies? That is a bug?

The replay desynched right from the start. But I've tested and it works with every gunship, they all auto-fire with their weapons, but might take a second longer to do it than the fighters. Can't check with the standard weapons of the Broadsword/Wailer/Restorer because they have dedicated AA.

I didn't know about this, and I'm not sure what to make of it. I think I'll use some gunships next time though, to protect against mercies. Fighters can just distract my fighters. Gunships won't attack fighters so they'll just stay where they are :)

Isn't it unwanted behavior that gunships can target mercies? Gunships are supposed to only be able to shoot ground units, other gunships, and apparently transports.

If they can shoot mercies, why not scout planes or interceptors? Why not t1 bombers? This needs a fix.
