Why would obsidian need to be efficient against T1 if Aeon already has aurora?

Good point, but not all maps are small and flat.

I was gonna suggest tank killer but all of FA's units land units would be considered armor... A range buff for obsidian could work, I suppose? It could be remade into a T2 sniper bot tank with low HP, a higher range than Ilshie, and some shields to compensate and Blaze would be the main assault unit. This, however, would mess with the Aeon-Seraphim balance since Ilsha is so slow and won't catch any sniper bots. Similarly, Cybran will have trouble with its main unit but, at least, it has hoplite to compensate it.
Don't complain about that which you aren't willing to change.

Some of the T3 adjustments have influence on the T2 stage. While all other factions have no problem with later T3 stage Aeon have. Sera have the least problems, they can and have to abuse their Ilshie as usual. UEF have their Pillarspam and Cybran (the most flexible ones) have rangebots and a good T2 tank. Only their Loyarush is a bit later.
Aeon on the other side have Aurora and then the Harbrush as a common tactic. The Harbrush is strong especially combined with T2 Air. But average players like me have already problems to find the right timing for the transision from T1 land to T3. So if the T3 stage gets delayed, Aeon have a to struggle twice:
- they have their Harb later AND
- it's weaker now

So IMHO my posts fit in this thread.

Well I'm not an expert, but Aeon already have the strongest t1 phase and I always thought to balance that out they have a weaker t2 phase, since otherwise other factions can't really fight back and playing against Aeon on the ground basically means you spend the rest of the game with a disadvantage. They gain an advantage with aurora, then when you switch to t2 they do too and probably win (if their t2 was as good as other factions') since the playing field is now equal but you started out behind... It's not like they get utterly rolled during t2, blaze/obsidian/mobile shields/aurora/t2 pd provide plenty of options for holding that extra territory while they go T3, as I see it this evens it out nicely, they gain some extra ground during the t1 phase and lose some ground in the t2 phase (theoretically at least).

How do you expect anyone to want to change the game for people that don't understand how things work?

If you mix in obsidisans, shields, Aurora, fobo, flack aeon will have plenty good times during the t2 phase.

You mean Fervor right? I thought fobo was Seraphim

But yeah, Obsidian is pretty good against other T2 if there isn't a commander to OC it or you have shields to block it. The Obsidian's bad against t3 but that's changing slightly so it's fine to use it.
