Or maybe can do an afterburner upgrade for tech 2 aircrafts or int when we reach tech 3 tech that match T3 speed.
Some games introduce upgrades for lower tech units to keep then usefull after reaching higher tech levels.


Sniping ACU is not a problem since armor upgrades are available for ACU too.

We can do everything, if we do at the same time a counter solution, then counter-counter solution, then a counter counter counter solution :)

Tbh it would be enough to complete other factions w/ a Combat Fighter w/o ground damage like Aeon already has. It should be improved a lil bit regarding the stats of the swiftwind, which are way more close to T1 air than to T3 at the moment. You could give Aeon a Fighter/Bomber additionally, but i dont believe it would be needed, since it has the Mercy already as an option.

I'm sorry if i dont get the intention behind the absence of of T2 planes with reasonable anti air abilities like other tech levels have. It just makes no sense for me regarding the game logic in general.

Here is the logic:

New units = not FA and most people came to play FA on the FAF community client.

Acting like swift winds are autowin or something when plenty of people beat them via sheer int spam.

I do think that t2 trans could be made slightly slower, though. (which petric is doing)

Balance changes are not equivalent to new units. It’s been well established that FAF balance will not consider adding new units unless it’s some ridiculous imbalance that cant be fixed in one of the other 10000 ways to look at units.

Yes, t3 maa is still a thing plenty of people don’t like and it was kind of what made the “no new units” idea so pervasive.

I will call it logic as it is a set of underlying principles utilized to determine how to balance; don’t lecture me on English thanks.

The goal is not to violate some unwritten rules like "no new units". The goal is to put the T2 Air level in a line with T1 and T3 like everywhere else. And if we need to introduce things like T3 maa i'd rather fill the gap between T1 and T3 air.

T2 air is perfectly in line and a gap does not exist. New units are superfluous and serve no purpose outside of demolishing faction diversity.

If there is a problem, there are 100 other things to go through on the metaphorical balance checklist prior to considering the option of new units.

Yes. Swift winds can't be countered. They win every air engagement. I guess that's why Aeon is M A N D A T O R Y on air slots.
