Before you answer, please review as many discussions regarding the up and coming patch, play some games with the beta, and leave a simple yes/no for overall feeling.

By request of people who need to see numbers.

You should request a poll in the forum, straw poll is very easily rigged, so you can never trust the outcome.

Would be really nice if people who do not like the balance patch overall would make a post to make clear what they dislike.

My biggest issue is the difference in hitpoints for ecobuildings. Not because there shouldn't/can't be any but because its just too much.
Other than that i don't think the approach on the RAS nerf is the right one i'd prefer HZH's suggestion to increase the cost instead of nerfing the output.
On most of the other stuff i don't really feel comfortable to form an opinion simply because i suck at 1v1 and most teammaps but i'm sure someone else will have some constructive criticism there as well.
edit: is it ok if i copy+paste the RAS suggestion from HZH in this thread or open a new thread with it so that everyone can see it?

i dislike that there's so many experiments in there (acu ras/tech upgrade changes, eco and fac hp changes, bomber/AA, ...) before getting to a point at which uef/sera are as viable to play as cybran/aeon in 1v1 and even (small) teamgames

I vote no, unit balance goes in the good way, but ecobulding shouldn't change i think.
I also think that increase ras coast but let the same input is the best option.

Per PhilipJFry's request - and I think it's a good idea, too - a line-by-line discussion of the proposed Patch

Here is my analysis based on testing:

This is a change that has been long overdue for the game where you can effectively push aggression as a faction that includes this type of unit. I found, in large, that it is by the far the best and effective way to combat players who use first bomber cheese. There were a few games I played where after losing engineers and pgens to a first bomber it was possible to counter an opponent's expansion by spamming several bots and attacking engineers that left the air factory. Since first bomber usually delays land unit factories the labs went mostly uncontested and the game was leveled and evened out.

Personal note: there are too many players who rely solely on cheesy tactics and it's an embarrassment to the game to dodge using complex strategy and tactic with some clicky-action, bomber play. I highly doubt that Chris Taylor and crew envisioned such a thing being a part of the game.

Overall, I think it's a good option to bring a nerf to an OP faction and I like the direction. The energy drain may be a bit excessive as it is shy -25 power from an air factory production, but usually only 1-2 deceivers are needed to make a pack of hoplites that much more powerful. Makes me sad that one of my favorite strats will be more taxing, but I agree wholeheartedly that Cybran is OP and needs something. Not enough testing took place to evaluate it in full, unfortunately.

It's a very nice idea and I did notice it was tougher in t1 spam with ACU situations to combat UEF. This could be rather interesting to see in aggressive strats....
