No. If I have to pay 420 Mass for 150 anti air dps and i dont even have a speed advantage, it is just a waste in comparison to T1 or T3 air. The consequense is, that i switch to inties or rush T3 air to build ASF. And this is a gap. Janus as eg.

edit: and btw this is the reason why ppl keep rushing T3 air.

Swift wind = 200 mass/150 dps/800 hp
UEF Cyclone = 50 mass/50 dps/295 hp

UEF Cycle*4= 200 dps/1180 hp

You really made me look in unit DB for this.

No this has no relation to why people rush t3 air. You have zero idea of what you're talking about. Swift winds or some fucked idea of t2 air imbalance are not even a factor in the discussion on rushing t3 air.

Swift wind isnt the problem. The problem is, that other factions have no "swift wind".

Simple question: is the faction uniqueness worth it to nerf the T2 Air of 3 factions?

How about the idea of removing ASF for Aeon and giving the Aeon T3 bomber shit anti air abilities instead?

Yes i think. The balance must be global but not at every tech stage or every area (terran naval air). Unless, you have 4 same factions = no fun.

This was just an example where faction uniqueness leads if we handle things that way. And faction uniqueness is an important thing, but i would'nt trade it for everything. You can also have some diversity if you modify stats or give some unique abilities like stealth.
