TML/Billy Question

Postby ABSTRACT » 24 Jul 2017, 17:25

Is there a Maximum fire rate for tml/Billy?

I sandboxed it recently and found no real difference if you support the com or not, building a tm or tn. It will shoot at the same time.
There was a little difference for Billy nukes, but not more than a sec.

edit: i havent tested it for tmls, but there are unpredictable differences because of the animations

There is. The timeout is 0 for the TML (Will fire as fast as you can complete it, and as fast as it can animate) and 30s for Billy. I have asked more times than I can count for that to be reduced. IMO, if you can afford the insane resource drain and buildpower to spam a billy every 4 seconds, you should be allowed to.

Kinda offtopic but the Yolona Oss also has around 30 seconds for the minimum firing cycle.

I cant confirm that if youre talking about the com TML. Ive tested the firerate of a T3 (UEF) Com with, and without support. i couldnt recognize any difference. https://youtu.be/iAgP_X3SYjo

edit: regarding to the balance. tml upgrade costs: m1k e50k, T2 mex: m900 e5400. It is used for sniping mexes usually, but u have not much time ime before your opponent react with tmds, so it would be useful to increase the firerate by supporting it, to get (at least) the costs out of it.
