Aeon frigate RoF changes

Way back in patch 3650 Aeon frigates got their RoF changed so that they have an easier time dealing with T1 hover. I don't know what their current DPS is, but I'm wondering if it's a change that was really needed, given that Aeon already has its own t1 hover. Maybe it won't hurt anything to revert them to old RoF (with 0.5s windup countered by slightly larger range), increasing their DPS a little bit instead.

why? just because Aeon have hover? not good reason

Even with the RoF buff for the aeon frigs they are kinda bad at killing hover compared to other frigs.

Except aurora. They rip aurora to shreds like no other frigates can. For some reason their AoE seems to be higher than other frigates(not visible in any database for some reason). This combined with their excellent burst damage+range leads to them obliterating Aurora in droves.
