The Aurora nerf, too punishing?

First, i get what you're trying to do, when the tank is kiting blah blah blah

I'm a player who will move units side to side, etc etc not only when kiting, but when enemy tanks are standing still also. Call it dancing or whatever, it doesn't matter

Aurora, with this patch, are straight up missing tanks, engineers, and in some cases even ACUs not only while kiting, but in direct combat, even when the (enemy) unit is standing still

i think this nerf makes the aurora too inconsistent and weak, and also makes it worse then the striker, who could at least try and dent an aurora army with a lot of dodging

I was wary of the change before the patch happened, i thought that i would rather the rate of fire be lower while moving because i thought that the randomness would be frustrating to play with but i gave it a chance, getting a game in today confirmed my fear

but hey, you found a way to make aeon t2 relevant at least, right?

i came to this decision in this game:6326333, my play is actually bad as all hell but you can still see the aurora in action see attached

This was the exact reason that zep removed the firing randomness nerf a long time ago when they tried

But I guess lessons are never learned here on faf

It would be cool to found another way of encouraging Aeon T2 Land without nerfing T1, i mean, Auroras are paper, they died by everything, the only advantage they have is the ability to be kitted thanks to their range, it doesnt matter anymore if they cant hit shit.
We have "Continentals" so moving shit around must be important.

Whats the rational behind nerfing the aurora?
Too strong vs other tanks?
Ever tried using arties in the mix or a t1 bomber, oh wait t1 bomber was nerft so t1maa and inti OP... Still can try arty...
So what is the evidence that aurora needs nerfing? Please explain someone.

Well, it's true their were able to crush other armies with some kitting...never been a problem to me since Aeon means T2 rush and mongoose/hoplite/more auroras/little chicken spam to me, i can understand this change but i don't see why is necessary or how this improve balance.
I,m only 1000 in ladder after all, maybe there are things I,m missing but if someone could tell me why this has been done, i'll be gratefull.
We have "Continentals" so moving shit around must be important.

i'd lower muzzle velocity for aurora if i wanted to nerf it a little, so it has same muzzle velocity as other tanks (right now aurora shot fly faster and harder to dodge)

it is a big problem that people cry about aurora, but then if you nerf it a small little bit then people cry that it is too weak =\

orignally aurora used to be bad at reatreating, it didn't listen to commands if you spam move order, then in zep times someone added turn speed buff to it and turned it into a monster that can dodge 80% of sera chicken bot fire, then that change was partually reverted and aurora dodge is still stong but not as strong as it used to be.
we used to try to fix other tanks missing aurora in close combat, but maybe this was an attmept to compensate for that
