+1 it's not like enemy stats are hidden because there is a wiki but I find it difficult to visualise "range: 90" compared to "range: 100" while in game.

The T3 artillery ranges have been different for as long as I can remember.

Also different are the damage values per shot and the area of effect.

In Vanilla, all ranges were the same as far as I know. The firing solution and HP was slightly different some more AOE less DPS, some more accuracy less DPS, some more DPS less accuracy and AOE. Currently most units in all factions have the same range. It would be complete B.S. to make them all different, it's balance breaking. Wakke proposed a good solution which is probably the best one - show enemy unit ranges when a cursor hovers over them. If you do not like that - just set all arty ranges to the same one.
Don't complain about that which you aren't willing to change.

I don't remember vanilla well enough, but this was not true even in the original version of FA.

You're not serious, are you? The number of similar units with different ranges across factions is huge.

As long as it can be toggled off.

The point about Aeon's being much better than the others is totally valid though. It has much, MUCH better range, and much better accuracy. In return it should have serious shortcomings in DPS, alpha, or cost, and it just... Doesn't. It competes nicely on all three.

Aeon having better units for no reason has been a long-standing issue, you see this at pretty much every tech level in every domain. Faf balancers have slowly been working through this, looks like T3 arty are next on the chopping block! :D

Funny, I thought:

UEF Duke = medium range, damage, AOE, and accuracy

Cybran Disruptor = low range, low damage, high AOE, and low accuracy.

Aeon Emissary = high range, high damage, low AOE, and high accuracy.

No unessasary nerfs to Aeon please. They're using alien (Seraphim) technology.

I was talking about static units. About mobile - yes, many differences.

I don't think T3 artillery should have equalized ranges. The Cybran one would then be clearly superior to the others. There's a reason why it's got shorter range.

But the enemy unit range overlay sounds like a useful idea, if for not much else than this very reason.
