I disagree with this. You don't need to destroy all four storages for your missile to be worthwhile. So long as the Mex itself goes down then your target loses the income from all of the structures, and has to spend APM to rebuild.

Given that the player can reclaim 80% of the mass from a dead storage anyway, the difference between a live storage and a dead one comes down to a very small amount of mass and a very small amount of build time.

It is much, much more valuable to have the TML balanced in other situations than to have it balanced around a few seconds and less than 100 mass.

Then is tml suppost have about 0,5aoe, for act same in every situation. And not be only luck based where player cant predict how much destroy.

But with low aoe on tml would be deny potential fun from sniping acu at move, and etc...

If you increase the AOE to 3 it buffs tml snipes :(

Well reducing the number of split missiles wouldn't fix the issue?

It would, but not all people like this for aesthetic reasons...

my opinion :
- slow down baby missile or just get 2 baby missile
- increase aoe to 3, decrease damage to com to 4k something like that.

what is wrong with tml snipe? its easy defense, jast set patrolf on acu, go for tml snipe is pretty risky 2700m that can be thought away when fail..

Cybran tml already got nerfed significantly.
before that, it was abel to kill 1 out of 2 tmds with 1 missle .

Im fine with them now. they are a bit better than the other ones. if you make the split missles even weaker, i want a significant cost decrese of them as well, as the missles (not the launcher) already cost around 50% more than the aeon ones.

its already a hard decition to snipe t2 mexens with cybran tml, as the missles are so expensive and if the mex leaves a reclaim and gets rebuild on it was more a loss for me.

not sure about the actual number but it feels like i need to kill minimum 3t2 mexens to payback a tml launcher.

EDIT:

Sry, just looked it up, all missles cost the same :)

Economy =
BuildCostEnergy = 3600,
BuildCostMass = 180,
BuildTime = 2400,

So its just the launchers that have different costs at all.

what is wrong with tml snipe ? that's a good question my dear ithilis. first of all, you can build 2 Tml to destroy other thing than a com, so i will only count the price of 2 missile that is ~360 mass. Then tml snipe are no skill at all. At least in beetle snipe you have to do some micro. (corsair/strat and mercy snipe are another story since there is some air micro to keep unit alive to do especially for the corsair/strat one). Moreover setting patrol isn't an absolute solution, because if there is wrecks near your com, it will stay to reclaim. (btw do you put your com always in patrol, when you not using it at front ?)
you can spot an air snipe way more easily (T2 air as cybran => need scouting emergency; T3 air => need to scout frequently to know if some strat are up). But you can set 2 tml in a spot of the map that isn't scouted often, get up 2 missile kinda fast, without having anything to ring a bell.
what i just propose is not to remove the tml snipe (kinda funny from time to time), but enable the snipe on the move (way more interesting imo) and remove the issue about randomness on storage destruction

edit : i didn't know missile cost was different. Is there any link to know the difference ? i thought it was 160 mass for a missile..
reduce price of the missile would make more sense imo (like smith said)
