Even that is not a fair comparison, as launching through the FAF client does not register as usage in Steam...

These are people who play only against AI or the campaign.

nothing new, FAF probably has more players than SC + SC:FA on steam + Planetary Annihilation + Ahes of singularity combined

all those 3rd party sites for stats (steamspy etc) use the info they get from public steam profiles
so their data limited (since users can have the profile on something else than public and ppl may own supcom:FA outside of steam)
i would be extremely cautious when looking at those stats

but yeah it's safe to assume that supcom2 is less popular than FA and ashes as well as PA are even less played
