Can shields deal damage when the structure dies?

Could someone please tell me what happens to my commander in the five seconds from 13:20 to 13:25? Replay is attached (online version gives an error). I've watched it a few times at -10 and I'm still really confused. There must be a mechanic at work that I don't know yet. To summarize the events as I understand them:

At 13:20 My T2 commander is near full health.
Engineers are building a shield around him.
Blue approaches with his own comm to kill the shield.
Shield bubble blinks on at the exact moment the shield structure goes down.
My comm goes from 13 000 health down to 20 as the shield dies.
No health reduction on the engineers, who were standing closer to the shield.
I die.

No static or commander tml, no mercies. Death has to be connected to the shield, and I don't know how. Do you?

Looks like a bug with the shield, I can't see any other explanation. Never seen that before so perhaps it's a new bug. Report in the tech support forum with logs so this can be fixed.

Were you building the shield with your ACU when it died ?

i managed to replicate issue, but i can't tell why this happens

it appears to be that you need to time it VERY VERY WELL

but also i only managed to do it when ACUs were damaged, and sera engyneer was assisting shield too (just like in replays)
but i can't tell for sure if that really makes any difference

it happens on 4:49 or so, so you should slow down before that moment and don't blink.
also it only decided to damage one ACU witch does not make any sence at all

It is not like this issue really needs fixing asap... but for me it is really fucking interesting how the hell this happens and why only 1 ACU got damaged there..
