FAF Proxy ports etc

Postby Axle » 02 Aug 2015, 04:02

I have a bunch of QoS rules on my router to make sure that my father-in-law's shitty torrent traffic doesn't flood my connection and that my very import FAF traffic gets super high priority.

So I've got a rule that says anything UDP port 6112 is very important please give priority, don't ever drop packets. But I'm thinking that FAF Proxy traffic is very important too. What address, port, protocol might I expect to be associated with the FAF proxy?

Actually, I have a better idea. I'll block traffic to the proxy altogether. That way I'll never get proxied, yay! :)

Well first off, are you having a bad connection with the proxy...?

If so, might be a good idea to start a topic about your connection to the proxy in the tech support forum.

The current FAF proxy runs on TCP port 9124.

We're replacing this in the future however, so this configuration won't permanently help you.
