Tanking, isnt it helpful to the team?

My teams keeps on calling me useless each time enemy prioritizes me to snipe over my teammates (sometimes around 3 players try to snipe me with strats,arty or whatever), and even if i survive and leave all that reaclaim on our side, they still consider me the most useless teammate and ctrl+k.

well tanking sounds like different thing to me, but being a bait can be nice if you know that you have it under controll and will not die

People release to do ground fire with strats only at ~3rd attempt
+250 mass income is greatly enough to hold ~3 T3 shields online

Im not looking for tips, just want to ensure that tanking does exist in the game.

I guess this: 6487652, around minute 36 specifically. Dual Gap. After a failed enemy strat snipe, they send in some more in small groups. White said he was fighting alone, you disagreed, he said smth like "All you did is survive", you said it's called tanking.

The game started at 16:06, went on for 46 minutes, so should have ended around 16:52. Your post was at 16:55. Given that, I think speed2s statement seems fitting, since I doubt you forgot the replay in 3 minutes (or 30, if we take your later statement into account).

edit: And btw, yellow didn't ctrl-k, he was killled by a tac snipe.
