Hi


The release of the alpha lobby was scheduled for this week end. Since I was sick almost all this week it will be postponed to the next one.

the aim is not a fully featured lobby but more a testing one before getting nasty :twisted:

The running fa vesrsion will be the vanilla 3599 one

look forward for it !!!

Hi

Peoples of good will are all welcome to participate !!!

this is the point where I would be glad to become some helps or suggestions:

prototype of web page for
map vault
mod vault
profile vault
featured mod vault
setting up of the game ( chossing map, choosing featured mod, choosing mods, choosing profile )

I will be glad if someone can help me to become from .scmap file an image one ( jpeg, ... ) in java code of course.
For now I will make screenshoot ... well it's better than nothing :-)

Sorry but I won't make it for this week end may be the next one have an issue in integrating 2 modules plus having visitors this week for easter so that it will be hard to stay in the deadline that I have announced :|

I will try my best though and will inform you on the advancement.

vanilla would mean 3696
there is no such thing as "vanilla 3599"

Well you re right the fa "vanilla" should be 3596.

But because it was the last used on gpgnet this one will be used as "official".

P.S:

I already planned to include the 3596 and 3598 as featured mod.
Alpha phase is more a setuping of the main functionnality, log, perf etc .... Not for a "playable" version in the sens of stable platform

Except confusing people that have no clues what 3596, 3598 and 3599 means (about 70% of the current playerbase), what is point of running older & imbalanced versions?

+ actually with the steam release 3603 became the latest official version

Some point need to be clarified

You made this "3603" frankensteined version that was pushed to the steam community as a backed improving stuff that people took for granted without to see the Trojan strategy of yours.
Bugs fixing ok but tweaking the balance was a step too far.
Back then I realized that you poisoned the community with your "vision" of the game and the attempt of the takeover was pretty well prepared
First step
provide a appealing but inconsistent version to the community and to steam after that namely the 3603
Second step
let realize the player that this version sucks and the need for an alternative
Third step
... join faf.

I will reset this plan because I love this game period
This game is too great for his fate to be decided from "lobbyist"
A 3599 bug free game was what the community wanted !Nothing more
The 3596 and 3598 will be for historical purpose. This is always good to know where you come from
