Resevoir X

Postby Omnipotent » 14 Oct 2014, 16:58

Hi all. Well, I really love the map "Resevoir."

A few things bothered me though... Why was it only 4 players. Why was a lot of the terrain unstable? Why were the decals bugged? Why were there no beaches and why wasn't it 100% symmetrical or had more texture.

So I'm in the process of making a new version. It will be 8 players. It's very different from the original but has a rearrangement of core heightmap features. I've retextured it and re-painted all of it. I'm going to make sure props and other things have been carefully placed.

Let me know what you think in regards to spawn. It's intended to be a Left vs. Right map. Feedback is important for the further development of the map! :D

Little bit of rotation would make it look more organic, don't you think.

And if this is not just the default one that you just have not changed yet, then I am not a fan of the lighting.

Have you toned the water yet? I'd tone it down. Looks like topical coral reef water.

I like the rock formations, apart from the lack of rotation.
