Problem with decals (again)

Sup forum,

I'm sure by now you know, I'm incredibly fed up with the map editor and such. I won't get into that again,

but my geniuine concern is that I've well exceeded the decal limit for my WIP map. I knew that anyway, but it's gotten to a point that when tested ingame, It's literally causing decals within the limit to spaz out now.

Another issue is that player created decals i.e "Land Fac Concrete" or Artillery burns and craters are now spazzing out as well. Some of which literally do not spawn at all.

This is a serious problem. Does anyone have a fix?

Isn't this just a video memory problem which you should be able to fix with some earlier fade out values? Not sure if this is the case, but it wouldn't be weird if that is the problem (might even be an artificial memory limit, because there was less of it back when SupCom got developed).

Yep, fix it by reducing the pop up distance. I always set my decals to 400 with only a few exceptions.
