HI.
So after a while of labouring (Thanks to everyone for their help) I managed to make a first semi-workable map.
Yet to play it.

However, one glaring problem is that it's 11 players when it should be 10.

I have no idea where the anomalous 11th spot comes from.
There are only 10 armies allocated under the FFA.

It's probably the reason why I can't open this in Hazard's marker editor either.

IT's slot 8/7 that the problem lies.
I opened the _save file, and wondered whether the reference to army 11 is the issue? I don't know though.

I've had problems with the hazards marker editor when I tried editing a map for 12 players, found out that he issues started when I had more than 8 players. So I think that the marker editor wasn't designed for more than that. That would make sense because it was made from before FAF was made.

I don't know about a sudden appearance of another spawn point. Perhaps one blank marker too many?

Going to make a post here and hope someone reads it as opposed to making a new thread.

Currently have an issue loading maps. AS in, I can't load any.
I click on the relevant file, and it'll refuse to do anything. Just a straight "no secnario loaded" type thing where nothing happens.
I have tried running as an administrator.
No differnce

Any thoughts?

I get this every time I try to load one of the original maps from FA. I don't have the problem when I load one of the maps from SupCom vanilla. I think that's the issue you're having now. I have no solution.

its just a directory issue, the supcom official editor will not open any map outside of the vanilla supcom map directory. any map you wish to load just copy and paste it into the vanilla map directory and load from there.

New issue.

I uploaded the map, and it shows up as being hostable.

Every time I host it however, it'll default to Setons, and will not allow me to select it in-game.

Any ideas?

Edit: original problem was fixed before post. leaving for those who may ever encounter this issue


Took me a bit to figure this one out, because appearently when i removed the problem i also caused some others so i was just chasing my own issues. the problem that i found is the inclusion of the variable 'map_version = 3' which is lacking a comma at the end, which is why the scenario would not load and default to the next map (in this case setons)

So i tried making a 4v4 version of my map.

Unfrotunately, it keeps saying there is already a version 1 of it in the map vault?

You silly goose, you forgot to change the paths to the save.lua, scmap etc.. I even uploaded it to the vault for you :)
