Error on Map Editor

Error on Map Editor

finally joined the forums :D
so just installed the map editor hoping to edit a map
when installed i get the an error with
SupremeCommanderDQUP5UQ6.dmp
7j...xml
Editor.pref
SCEditor.sclog
dxdiag.txt

i have vanilla installed and it is in the vanilla bin folder

whats causing my error ?

Did you patch SupCom Vanilla to v3280 (run SupCom Vanilla, top left corner of menu screen will have the version number)? If it does not say 1.1.3280 then you need to patch it to the latest version.

yes the vanilla is patched but thanks for trying any other suggestions ?

Can you post a screenshot of the full error? I can't make much of it.

Did you by any chance try to open a map that came with FA (not with SupCom Vanilla)? Those maps are encrypted and cannot be open with the map editor. The crash report that you had specified is similar to what pops up after the map editor crashes and you get that GPG error reporting feedback window.

Also when opening maps, place it in your SupCom Vanilla map folder (default: C:\Program Files (x86)\THQ\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander\maps) other wise the editor will spit out <no scenario loaded> in the title bar and the map will not open.
