Map files missing, but still loadable with the editor

Postby Z0nE » 07 Apr 2013, 11:41

My problem is, that I can not edit my map manually to make it playable. When I navigate to my maps folder, I can see all the maps I have except the map I created in the editor. But the map is actually there, because when I can load the map with the map editor. The screenshot attached should explain it better than I can.

I hope you guys can help me.

Thanks!

The map seems to be named simply '1'. Could you maybe rename it to another name because it is mayble conflicting with something. Are you sure it is not just hidden. Do you have administrator acces to that folder (it is in program files...).
You could try using the Hazardx map editor to make it playable before editing it further with the offcial map editor.
That's all I got, I hope it helps.

Thx for the answere. I am going to try it with the hazardX map editor now. The weird thing is, that when I try to copy the map file from the load file window to the desktop, it says "File not found".

*EDIT*
I installed the hazard map editor. When I go to File>Open Level my map is displayed next to all other maps installed.

Problem solved. I just opened the maps folder in Adobe Bridge. It found the folder and I was able to copyeverything over to the desktop. It just seems like Windows Explorer is just shit.
