Texture files (.dds) not uploading?

Postby Combo » 28 Mar 2013, 21:50

I uploaded a map to the vault which relies on a custom texture in a .dds file which resides in the same folder as the map.

The map works fine locally but after uploading to the vault and downloading it from there, I see red/black stripes across the map suggesting the texture is missing.

When I check the folder to which FAF downloaded the map I see the .dds file is missing.

Why?

would help a lot if you tell us the name of the map
but it sounds like the path to the .dds file is wrong

i now tried that, renamed everything to crabsv002 and still the same issue.

When I look in the folder where FAF saved the replay I can see the image256.dds texture file is missing.

Ok it's fixed now. The temporary solution was to rename the texture dds file to match the map filename (in this case crabsv002.dds). EDIT: The real solution was to update the map vault code to receive dds files (viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3466).
