Krapougnak: that's exactly what I did.

I don't have the supcom/bin folder because I downloaded only FA from Steam. I don't have the original Supcom installed on my PC.

Well the map editor was meant to work with the Vanilla SupCom, I don't think it works with FA at all.

yes it only works with vanilla

there is another map editor, made by one guy from the gpg communits. it works without the vanilla supcom.
i just do not have a download link...

Yes it is the right map editor.But read the changelogs etc from the post there.It's still in beta and will be forever.Also there are some functions missing like adding wrecks/civillians( As far as I remember)

Edit: Learned through trial and error that to upload to the map vault the .dds texture file name needs to match the map name, e.g. if your map is called goodmap then the texture should be called goodmap.dds and placed in the same folder as your map.

OK here's an addition for the FAQ: how do you create your own prop (like the bridge in theta)? i.e. if you have a simple model in 3dmax (or similar), how do you import it into the game? which file format etc do you use and how do you texture it? Thanks

??? My map Canyon SC2 is uploaded in the Vault and the new textures weren't renamed.
