Hey All,

I'm currently working on a map generator. The first Prototype is now fully functional, so it's time to share some samples with you.
I've generated a batch of 16 Maps, picked 5 which i liked and uploaded them to the vault just before I wrote this post.
It would be awesome if you could give one or more of them a try and give me some feedback, suggestsions or whatever comes to your mind.

Would it be possible to script random reclaim spawn on every play, unpredictable but always symmetric/balanced?

Wow!
That's really cool :)

Do you also generate AI path marker automatically ?
It's almost impossible to autogenerate them after a map is finished, maybe your map generator has more information about the map/landscape etc to make such markers ?

I'm planing on eventually generating the whole map from skretch every match. These static maps are ment as a preview until the generator is good enough to be integrated into the client.

Uveso:
Do you also generate AI path marker automatically ?

I' m looking into it, but this i currently not a priority. The maps are ment to be played pvp.

11 and 14 look interesting to me.

14 is probably my favourite from this batch. But I've already stumbeled upon even more interesting maps while developing the generator.
Let you know what I think, after I play them.

It looks great. Probably mappers can use the generator to get a head start and save like 1 week on making a 20x20 map at its current stage :D

You need add decals and somehow code in plateaus into your generation script.

The mountain ranges seem a bit bland being only sloping up at a constant angle, kind of like cones and where they go into the water it looks like there is a ring around the bottom of the mountain. Maybe it is going down to height X and the water goes lower, I dont know.

Your mirroring is also off by a tiny bit, but maybe irrelevant. F.ex. on proto_11 the top left water has a little mountain that doesnt come out of the water, the bottom right does.

Would be great if this would eventually be added to the ozonex editor, although i have no idea if thats possible
