Engineering stations aren't very efficient compared to T1 engineers.

so if that build power sacrifise will not be very efficient that will be ok ?

I feel like seraphim is going to get shafted on this.

Is that a permabuff?

I don't think this is too viable a change.
Yes, Cybran and UEF have engineering stations, but you can kill those!
It's a nice choice to have to make whether to add them to a factory or use their mobility, but I think it could easily be abused in team games.

Additionally, on games such as Setons, where the unit cap is a factor, (especially for the back player,) Not having a few hundred engies sitting around the air-spam factory could create even more slowdown from having just that many more ASF's out at once.

Here is an idea to address two issues at once... Why not have engies only give 90% of their build power to the fac, and at the same time take away 1 or 2 HP for each engy added. That way, your build power is still vulnerable, you can see that has a fac has extreme build power if it has t3 but low hp, and you don't gain too much efficiency. As one other point, maybe have aeon facs only be exempt from the factory adjacency bonuses. Perhaps even have only the t2 of t3 facs exempt.

If the Aeon get this upgrade for the sake of not having drones, I think Seraphim should also get it since they lack drones as well and do tend towards the same type of tech as Aeon.

It would mean absolutely every air player would be aeon. I like seeing the odd pro using something else.

all factions' engis could get that BP sacrifice ability.
and we could permanently remove that extra buildpower proportional to the damage taken by a factory.
and if it means you have to build your t3 on a mex or you are UP, then so be it. how many pumped up t3 factories do you usually build? or, before ppl start making bots for the sole purpose of harakiri + reclaim, why not exclude that extra build power from adjacency bonuses?

Actually, here is a thought.... There was a chart posted a while back showing the cost/buildpower ratios for all the engies and drones. Why not make the sacrifice of buildpower equal the cost/build ratio of drones? It would not give you a distinct advantage over drones or hives, but would give Aeon and Seraphim the same help with unit cap and mucked up swarms of engies. Also tied into this would be the small HP loss to the factory for having engies sacrificed into it so that build power is still vulnerable.
