PLanetary defense bug

We have seen something this evening that looks like a bug. Situation was a 56% uef planet under seraphim attack. There have been aeon defense towers since we enslaved them. I pressed defend got an auto win and the planet was 65% but the defense was deleted. Is it possible that i kill aeon defenses on own planets and they would kill uef defense while defending for uef planets?
