Defending planets without any own planet connected to it

Defending planets without any own planet connected to it

Postby El_Zinkovich » 24 Jan 2014, 14:11

So, i always thought you need a planet to gate into a battle on another planet but right now Cybran managed to defend a planet to which they dont have any connection. Can you always defend a planet while its >50% even without any owned planet next to it? I hope you understand what im trying to say
I know thats hardly a bug report but it really confused me^^

Are you sure than none of the planet next to it was owned by cybran? Or the planet itself had more than 50% cybran influence? Looks quite red to me.

It's also possible that influence decreased AFTER that game was launched.

Well if they managed to defend 136, it means that one of the two planet was over 50% cybran. So I'm 100% sure that one of them was owned by cybran, unless proven otherwise.
Most likely 52 is cybran.

Well, i always got the impression that you can only defend/attack if you have connected planets. But obviously for defending it suffices if the planet that is to be defended has >50%. Thats what i didnt think was possible, but thanks for the elucidation and sorry for the inconvenience.

Just wondering now how Auto-recall is supposed to work on a planet without any connection :D

I also was defended, when a planet has no connection to any other planet of defenders faction with more than 50%

Just thought that there was a rule change. Will post it next time with logs.
