Superweapons (Feature)

Finally got around to learning a bit more about GW and I had a thought. How cool would it be if we were to introduce some more faction diversity to the game via Superweapons?

OK so basically, each faction would have a certain innate ability which would help their cause. It's not something any one player controls, but something to help the whole faction's efforts. Perhaps they could be on an eternal charging loop. At 100% the highest ranked player online at the time, or maybe just whoever is available, or via a vote I don't know, gets to fire the Superweapon.

For example:
Cybran - Gate Network Disrupter - Target this at a planet-planet link to remove the link entirely. This can be used strategically to cut planets off from backup or influence, and change the dynamics of the galaxy.
Aeon - The Princess - The princess visits a friendly planet causing it to instantly increase to 100%, and causing all adjacent planets to experience a rapid shift to Aeon loyalty as they are gripped by religious fervour.
Seraphim - Quantum Disturbance Generator - Target this at an area of space to generate a singularity. It would act as an un-attackable planet of 100% Seraphim influence and allow direct attacks into deep space regions well behind enemy lines.
UEF - Black Sun - Target Black Sun at any planet to erase all influence from that planet instantly. After targeting, it takes some time to fire. If there is a game in progress on that planet a warning sounds 'Black Sun targeting signature detected: Red Alert'. Any UEF player(s) on the map are instantly recalled (They had warning of the attack), and all other players are advised to recall ASAP. Any commander caught on-planet when Black Sun fires is instantly killed.

These are just the first ideas I could come up with (Yes, Black Sun was the inspiration)

Game enders are already planned and defined.

What about tactical abilities? Seraphim could have a planetary defense qai node that prevents auto recalls. Uef could have a satillite network that deduces enemy reinforcements... automatically destroys 2 of the enemys 5 waves.

See when I opened this thread I did intend for Black Sun to be the coolest sounding option... The more I look back, the more I want the Cybran and Seraphim ones. That Cybran idea would be utterly, horrendously BRUTAL :twisted:

New UEF Powers -
Rally Cry - A 2 part power, first comes the brave rally, then the manly crying.
Persuasive Recruitment - Causes Gyles Casting to have more bias and adds 100% more effectiveness at recruiting for UEF.
Inevitable Collapse - Knowing their fate, the UEF gives up and surrenders to become a Slave faction.
Mass Media - On Screen Ads and Newspapers are created to convince you to join the UEF's efforts.
Turtle Tank - Realising your factions only strength, you are given a fortress of Point Defences.

New Aeon Powers -
Religious Hope - Turn to a higher power, and pray for a saviour.
Dev Hack - Twists the Zep-God's Arm, and makes Aurora's more OP.
Reincarnation - You obviously misclicked when choosing this faction, so you are given a chance to reroll.
Devine Intervention - In a Sticky Situation? Call for a Galaxy Wide Server Shutdown.
Charity Case - Causes you to whine on forums about being underpowered, until new patch is released.

New Seraphim Powers -
Language Barrier - Confuses all enemies with a barrage of unrecognisable words.
Chickens CAN Fly - Gives the Ythotha Wings.
Lucky Bomber Rush - Temporarily gives you LuXun's ability to micro manage multiple early bombers at once.
Telepathic Topography - Instantly know the setup of a map you've never played before.
Zthu-per Depression - Your opponent becomes so depressed at the effectiveness of your Zthuee rush, they ragequit.

New Cybran Powers -
Backwards Compatible - Reverts to a former Patch of your choosing when you feel more pimped.
Horny Brackman - Confuses opponents with a constant loop of "Ohhh Yesss".
QAI Anal Probe - QAI is tasked to learn some rather personal info about your opponent, in a very sensitive manner.
Mantis Phobia - Your opponents are forced to run, after seeing hundreds of Spider like machines.
Force Massive Upgrades - All of your opponents system updates happen at once, causing them to time out of a match.

I pissed my pants at the "Horny Brackman" superweapon. Everyone in my house thinks im a nutter now xD You have made my night all that more fun hahahaha. Hope they add all this in for a "piss about" version of galactic wars.
