There's three maps on my list I've downloaded from the vault but I can't find in the lobby map list in FA. They are,

Shore to Shore v.2
Galtic v.1
Cold as Ice v.2 (I also tried v.1, downloaded from the vault but it doesn't appear in FA lobby map list.)

Can someone else have a look at one and tell me if I'm missing something?

Thanks

I have fixed some maps and I want to reup them. The problem is, I dont get how versioning works. Shall I upload it with a v2 in the name or is there a better way to reup?

EDIT:
Here is the fix for the "black plane problem": viewtopic.php?f=53&t=6089

Don't change the name!

There is a version field in the lua scenario file:

Code: Select all
  map_version=1,

(and NOT version = 3)

Increment that, and the folder should be named

Code: Select all
map.v0001

(or map.v0002,....)

If map_version is not there, you can add it and put the version to 2 :

Code: Select all
ScenarioInfo = {
...
  map="/maps/mymap.v0002/mymap.scmap",
  map_version=2,
...
}

Hi,
I got an private message with my map list. I didnt remember i signed up for maptesting. As i joined the balanceteam recently and dont have so mutch free time at the moment i would rather spend my time helping in the team then testing the maps. So what is the time frame to test the maps? if its less than one month it would be bettter to give my maps to someone else who is willing to test and has the time to do so. if its ok when i look into maps by end of january i should be fine with my time and be able to test them myself.
thanks

It may be a little late for this question. I have been testing with Odd vs Even and random positions. I have a map now that sometimes mixes players side to side on Random. I went through the post here and the original directions and did not see anyone make note of random or fixed positions. Which way should I test and How many times to test for correct positions?

Thanx

Just perform one Test; fixed positions, all spots filled with AI, Autoteam to: "Even vs Odd Spots"

If you start the game linke this, each team should be on one side and not randomly mixed across the map.

Is a large preview important? I didn't look out for it till now. I thought FAF used the small preview.
