1. Hotbox 1v1 : Units get stuck everywhere, com gets stuck, pathfinding sucks completely, unclear where pathways are (planet 130)
2. Revenge of the cybrans: 100% bugged. Completely black map, cant see anything there (planet 58)

If you want to start, we need about 1000 maps, classified in themes.

Themes are for now :
Forest/Green
Desert/Sand
Martian/Red
Water/Blue
Winter/Ice
Techno/Gray
(so about 160 maps per theme).

Can be any size, any number of players, not necessarily balanced (can be asymmetric maps, the defender is always on the same side).

You can start making me some list for each theme...

well i think it should be possible to make a script that sorts the maps by textures and decals used which would indicate the theme and make things a lot easier.. but still i'm not sure if there are 1000 "good" maps

that would be a very good job for tag_maximus :-p haha

the maps aren't put into some db, am I right? So its a folder and the lobby reads the blueprints or whatever?

I'm making a list for Green / forest type maps, we will see if there are 150 maps of this type.

EDIT: Actually, I will do all types, no need to browse the map vault several times.

Here is a classification of most decent looking maps in the vault, that are between 1.25 x5 to 20x20.
There are slightly more than 160 maps for green and desert, around 120 for red and water, around 110 for ice, and around 90 for grey / urban. I put the ones that could be in 2 categories in the one where there are less maps (for example, planet desert in red rather than desert).
I didn't use the default maps, so you can add around 10 more maps for each. I put the size and player number info so that selection can be made (if too many 20x20 maps for instance).

I also didn't use survival maps or the like, so in the end, it'll be possible to really have around 900 maps (maybe not 1000, but that's close enough^^). If Zep calls for more grey / urban maps, and maybe red and winter, the map makers can also help to bring the number even higher.

I didn't check them all, but I guess if some turn out to be broken, they can just be removed and changed by another one.
