Alpha seems to be working fine for me thus far. Played two games. However my concern is that it auto launches and can do it sometimes half an hour or more after you click attack. If you're afk it's not so good. I was wondering if maybe there could be a prompt to accept the battle or something so we don't end up with battles that one player isn't ready for.

You will have a "away" mode.
Be aware that any other player can take over your attack (higher ranked players -in GW hierarchy, not trueskill - will be prioritized), for free (you pay for it). Same if you are offline or in a game.

I guess I can also make a confirm box, the problem I have with dialog boxes is that they tend to "freeze" the lobby and it doesn't react to ping, ... leading to other problems if you are really away.

So I will start with an away mode first to see if it's enough or not.

When I attack, there is a countdown timer that indicates when the attack will launch. However, I see multiple of our sides planets being attacked, and I see no indication of when the attack is supposed to launch. How are we supposed to know when to show up or be available for defending a planet?

Also, are team games planned for GW, or is this going to be strictly 1v1 type thing?

You attack when someone is trying to defend.

If nobody attacks and the timer run off, you win without fighting.

You can defend any time when a planet is under attack.

GW will be 2v2 & 3v3, but until the beta it's 1v1.

Quick thing I noticed after installing this build : the planets look good but they have some transparency (it's possible to see the background through them), which I think they shouldn't have.
I have a AMD 7870 GPU.

EDIt: I also noticed something : there is a chat window in the GW screen to chat with your faction. There is also a channel in FAF lobby. messages posted by others are visible in both channels, but messages i write are visible (for me) only in one.

Yes, but sometimes it says "X planet is under attack" but there is no indication of when the attack is scheduled to take place

Because it's other people attacks. I'm unsure if I put the time here or not yet.
