What are .faf, .nxt, .nx2 files?

Hi,

I know they are zips with lua etc.

I was just wondering what the difference is between them and why they are seperated out that way.

Perhaps that will make it easier for me to find what I am looking for, which is the right place to make many small tweaks to the UI.

Is it correct that faforever.nxt and lobby.nxt are not used (blacklisted)? But faforever.faf is? And then the .nx2 files override that?

So that would make the load order FA files > faforever.faf > .nxt files

?

They are modification specific files. For instance I believe the Nomads files are .nmt zip files.

I'm going to make a writeup of how the load-order and loading works for lua/asset files soon.

It's possible to make life as a modder a lot easier by tuning this, so it's very nice information to have.

.faf is for Vanilla and all Featured Mod

.nxt is for FAForever featured mod (and load .faf before)

.nx2 is the new patch for FAForever featured mod (and load .nxt before, and .faf before)

And the file is loaded by alphabeticaly

.nxt is empty and .faf isn't used so its just the nx2 files
