Host eject button?

Postby WinterShade » 04 Jan 2014, 07:35

I have no clue how hard this may be to add into FAF but it is just asuggestion to bring up. Often games end up having connection issues and the player causing them can't (or won't) leave so I was going to bring up the idea of the possibility of an eject player button without it having to be brought up by the connection screen. If anybody has any ideas or comments please reply

If someone does it or use it, it will be subject to ban for multiple reasons.

Not leaving or making an eject button?
I am pretty sure there was/is an UI mod that allows separating connection to specific players (could not be done by one person, though).

Good, but why are you so strictly against it?

Because it can be abused. I don't have time to check if its use is legit or not, so every use is banned.

There will be improvements in the connection screen soon (auto eject after 60 seconds, auto eject of observers,...) so you don't need that mod.

I've had this problem before. For example player X dies but stays in the game as observer, later player Y loses connection to him. Sometimes player X is afk so the game is stuck. In these cases I have PM'ed a moderator in chat and they have always been very quick to resolve the issue by removing player X from the game. =) It is even more awesome that auto kick for observers will be implemented, then we don't even need to annoy moderators.

I planned to create a Mod for kick vote.
The host can add this mod or not.

If not a vote kick button, can I at least have a "vote punch in the face" button?

I promise to be fair and impartial in its use by using it on everyone as fast as I can click.
