Hey, this is a draft of the FAF logo, an icon for the application in windows and two variations with text (as you can see they can be scaled down quite alright).

Let me know your thoughts!

Also - can someone explain to me how to get the client skin template so that I can draft interface designs.

It looks very nice but the triangle / pyramid doesn't look enough like a "A" IMHO.

There is no template, you could download any theme viewtopic.php?f=2&t=620&start=150 and use it as start though.

and a theme is basically the _res directory in your fa-forever install path, so if somethings missing (which it should be as many themes don't change everything) then you can copy it from there.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Forged Alliance Forever\_res <- this is where it is

in fact, i made my themes by making a copy of the res directory and then modifying it from there with another theme as reference

Wow these are really cool! I don't know anything about design but maybe you could tilt the pyramid up so it looks more like an A?

It looks really nice! That said, as in the other faf logo thread, it would be nice if the letters were a little more defined.

what i like about the current draft is especially the fact it has a unique, subtle style that isnt too obvious - most of the times the logo will be shown with the name right beside it, so it will be decodable while at the same time a unique brand/logo is established that is more than just three letters!?

any suggestions how i could improve the A?

I don't think that it is a great idea to have multiple threads on that topic so why don't you post your further thoughts in the "old" thread?

Personally I am not too fond of your design. Don't get me wrong. It is very professional but it looks way too much like a Cybran design (even the colour is red). Nonetheless: terrific work. =)
