Selecting a subset of factions for 1 vs 1

Hey everyone,

I had some free time and decided to do a small stuff on the supcom client.
Decided to add some checkboxes under the factions for 1 vs 1 automatch so you can choose a subset of factions and the client chooses one from it.
All good and well until I remembered how terrible I am with designing stuff.
Any of you guys want to leave some pointers on how to make this actually look decent?

all the features are there. you just need to rearrange them a little. i too had this idea but have been saving it for later since everyone is busy and no one cares about ladder improvements atm.

instead of check-boxes for each faction you only need the 4 faction icons - clicking on it selects it, clicking again deselects it.
the selection highlights them now as if they are pressed.
the selection is saved so you dont need to set it every time.
the only other thing needed is a play button - under the 4 factions. no random button is needed.

Thanks about the feedback. Your idea about selecting multiple icons may be even better and selecting the faction when the match is found and it's easier on the ui part.
Going to try that out although it may end up changing existing functionality.
