Seems like the problem with the map title and description is just caused by some default title and description or a missing refresh in those textboxes. Because if I switch to "markers" register card after loading the map and then back to "map" register card my edited and saved title and description appear.

After all the markers went missing up on second loading, all my new markers remained after I saved the map again.

EDIT:

It seems to be an issue with making a copy of a already complete map and making changes to that copy. Even if I change the file names correctly and open the lua file to set the file paths & names accordingly, upon first loading and saving the map without changes the original markers and all the other stuff are gone.


I now tried to modify a copy of the original twin rivers map.

Everything went fine. My changes remained. The title and description bug was stil there though.
Maybe it was some issue with the twin rivers ep map. I'm not sure.


I have a editing related question:
How can I bind to objects to each other for symmetry reasons?

I found the issue. It was error caused by creating new markers. Fixed it and here is new version:


v0.421
- Fixed error when creating new markers
- Fixed markers "Diagonal + Diagonal" symmetry
- Fixed height update for markers created by "Center by angle" symmetry
- Fixed Symmetry window showing 2 selected options at start
- Force update "Map" category after loading map
- Fixed issue when changing category when creating marker was not removing markers ghosts

hey, i just tried out the mapeditor for the first time, i enjoyed how deep and how portable it went, 10/10, i can use your custom pathing to edit straight out of my FAF maps folder, instead of having to move from my steam vanilla supcom folder to test

my suggestions would be to have options to remove the camera acceleration and also be able to search through maps to edit with a search bar or even my first letter similar to a file browser

also, in the lighting panel, the RA setting only uses the second half of the slider, using the first half only shows a - character

New bug. Symmetry settings "diagonal + diagonal" and "diagonal (top left - bottom right)" do the same thing for me now.

Looks like this is engine bug.

When changing RA value by slider it will has this bug. Right now just change value in InputField and it will work.

I'm glad to see this is still alive. But; Did you ever test if you'll be able to modify the heightmap in realtime? I heard someone saying it's "not possible" or something like that (which I highly doubt, but what do I know).

If not, that would be a game breaker :-(

I think it work well in my editor. Only generating brushesh for symmetry takes some time (few sec) but after that you can paint as you want. Painting Stratum layers is also almost done.
