It is a shame... I would very much like to make new maps but the current release editor is way too painful to use...

That looks awesome, I hope the author takes it up again. I tried doing some map work with the old tools and the amount of problems, jury rigging etc to get them to work was just beyond my limits.

If I won the lottery I'd pay someone to do this.

Im back :D

Just made basic Height map editing. 4 Brushesh, but it will support custom brushesh. Smooth and sharpen are still not working. I will also add Min/Max height to brush.
Updated to Unity 5.3.3p2

Was someone trying to use last version of this tool? What should I fix before I work on more features?

I discovered a bug. Clicking read all props repeatedly will add up the values over an over again. And the values won't get reset between map loads.

Oh and you also mixed up the names for mass reclaim and energy reclaim. They need to be swapped. The number for mass is actually the number for energy and vice versa.

True, stupid mistake. This is what happens when you try to code something fast :)

It will be fixed in next version tommorow, with finished heightmap painting tool (with symmetry and custom brush)

v0.413
- Fixed file sharing validation when reading files from gamedata
- Custom brushes (greyscale png images in FAForeverMapEditor_Data\Structure\brush)
- Render brush on terrain
- Small fix in terrain lighting model
- Minimum and maximum value for brush
- Removed terrain mesh LOD
- Fixed props counter tool
- saving scm file with backup (WIP, will corrupt file)

I have a problem with saving scm files. It require to save DDS textures inside, but I can't encode textures to DDS. Unity allows to save png, jpg or raw textures.
Anyone knows how to convert png or raw to dds?
