Rating in forum

Can ratings please be displayed in forum so I know which posts to pay attention to?

Anyway can talk the talk... but are they worth listening to?

Ranked rating only... since that's the real rating.

What are you trying to accomplish here? Everyone's input is valuable. The rating of most people increase over time so shutting them down at the earlier stages is rather counter-productive to building a community.

I give people a hard time on here, but at least I don't go gestapo and put them in a classification of "useless."

The thing about ranked being the only real rating was tongue in cheek and a joke yes.

Wanting the rating displayed is no joke.

Sometimes I read four pages of balance discussion about how to counter HARMS or something and honestly I have no idea which posts to accept at face value or not.

Sometimes people write 'omg this was the best canis replay ever watch it!!!'.

etc.

Rating is credibility. If a 2000 rated players says these things I will listen.

Never meant to imply that other people are useless, I know it's not the case. Still rating is a quick was to establish credibility. My own rating is rather humble of course.

Morax I don't mind if you stop posting in my threads.

partytime, I can post wherever I choose. If you think I'm being a real problem talk to an admin or moderator and file a complaint.

Rating will only tell you a number that you can get attached to or not. I know people that are over and underrated all the like; you need to take the time to get to know people and choose to accept or disagree with their opinions.

And like I said, I like to give people a hard time and challenge them to think more. If you don't like it - tough.

On a related note, is there a way to look up somebody's ladder rating like you can do for global rating at http://content.faforever.com/faf/leader ... ard=global I guess replacing the 'global' with something else may do the trick, but what is it?

Edit: ok by trial and error I found it. http://content.faforever.com/faf/leader ... ?board=1v1

Yann need to give some tactical advice to new players :)
Everyone should listen to him, he is #15 on global with his ~2047 rating xd

Talking seriously: it makes sense for OP to show ratings, and IMO it should be fine too, but there can be some trouble with people who overestimate importance of rating... Also rating is not perfectly accurate and may just depend of player's APM and ability to execute strategies, as oppose to player that can plan ahead and design strategies, but has trouble making them work
