Show forum/subforum tree

Postby Sir Prize » 05 Mar 2015, 13:24

I would like to see what subforum I'm in when I go to latest post in a forum, or to be able to navigate to something other than the forum front page. For example, this should have "Forged Alliance Forever > General Discussions > Suggestions" at the top of the thread. Most forums have this, including forums that use phpBB, is there a reason we don't?

Actually from suggestion, you can only go back to board index , not general discussion

I think the forum needs a bit of a clean up anyway, there are problem reports in the tourney tab. god knows why.

Because Sheeo updated the links in the red text in the tech support forum and something went wrong and a lot of posts where moved to the tournament forum. I've been moving them back occasionally but it takes a while since there's quite a lot of them.

Fair enough. Thanks for helping. My point was more, we should clean up what we already have before thinking of improvements.
The best way to improve something that is broken, is to fix it.

I'd fix the "go back to general discussion from suggestions" issue but from what I can tell you can only ever have the "back to board index" link. An alternative is to use the box at the bottom that says "jump to" and selecting the forum you want.

Does no one else see the black area at the very bottom of the page? On the left hand side of it it has exactly what the OP is looking for. Now it could be made more apparent but it is there.

Heh, I can't believe I missed that. I think the colour is caused by the theme though so I'll have to check if I can make it lighter.

EDIT: So I can change it but it's in HTML and I'm not exactly sure which template file it is.
