Transports Drop Sooner

If there is a reason for this that's fine, but I'm curious what the reason is.

Sometimes transports hover for 3+ seconds before dropping their load. I've had many drops reach their destination and then the transport just sits there waiting to be shot at. Can this *not* happen? I'm wondering if there's a loop in the code that only checks for drops every x seconds or something, or if there's some validation script (eg distance to ground) that takes a while to run, or if the devs just did this to give the defending player more time to react. But sometimes they seem to drop right away. IMO transports are easy enough to shoot down anyways, if you just ignore the guarding units and attack them alone.

Or maybe there's some trick I'm missing to get them to drop right away. Thoughts?

very annoying, for not UEF players, t2 transport is too fragile to everything so drop near enemy base in late game is almost impossible and that hovering make it even worse :(
