I normally play with friends, but we decided to try out playing with other players today.
In almost all games someone built a Hive/Engineering Station and gifted it to other players, which then sapped their ressources until they noticed, if they noticed at all. One even did it after I already helped with 3 T2 engies, seems they did it out of principle.
To me that is a very reprehensible move (to not use stronger words), and is basically stealing ressources from your teammates.
It's like saying that their project is more important than your eco or project.
Is this a reprimandable/bannable offense? It should be.
Sure, you notice some times, and kill or regift the station, but sometimes you don't, or much too late.
Honestly, I really felt like dropping a TML on their head. I didn't because that will get you banned, but I really wanted to.
So I suggest a simple fix: Make gifted engineering stations / hives have support disabled by default.
That way you can choose to help, but no one can just steal your ressources (and maybe crash your eco) until you notice.
They can build a station and gift it to you, but you have to enable it for it to start working.
Spending ressources on your teammates should be a conscious choice, and I don't want to have to check every minute if my teammates are stealing them.
I have enough to do to manage my own stuff.
What do you guys think?
EDIT: Fixed typo in title.
