So, reclaiming a friendly engi is already possible, can we please also add the capture command for friendly units?

Why would we need this?

You still don't have a right to capture his unit. I'd say reclaiming functioning (not wrecks) buildings and units of your ally shouldn't be possible as well.

not quite sure, you wouldn't be able to :
- reclaim a pgen so that it won't explose
- reclaim a ythota to not have the storm
- reclaim a unit that is blocking your way (already happens that your unit stay stucks because of a scout or something)
- reclaim walls sections

reclaim ally is obviously necessary, convert isn't.

I guess you have good points with some of those. Capturing would pretty much always lead to retarded situations though.

For teammates that don't read the chat or go afk while in the game. There are too many of them, including 1K+ players.

Yes, so?

Not really. It saves time for the giving party. Or capturing omni / soothsayer from a player who doesn't have the energy to power it.

sounds like idiot argument to me.

if you need air protection (and he doesn't respond) you will try to convert all his asf/inte ?

give the unit is logical. for exemple, you have an omni, but don't have e to power it, so you ask and give it to someone that can support it. it's an intelligent gameplay.
convert the unit of your friend without his agreement (since he would have give the unit to you, if he agreed) is something that shouldn't happen.
Btw good luck convert an omni or a soothsayer.

the possibility of a gain of time (i suspect convert an engie which is quite easy to do) is completelly futile in comparaison to the fact that you do allow people to do thing without the agreement of your ally.
reclaim is different because it allow action (that i have listed, there are more) that are needed in the current gameplay.
