shield, AA, and engy atack -> move "bug"

Hellou everyone,
When you have army with shield/AA/engyners, and click atack then shield/AA/engy would do nothing, jast stay on place because cant atack on land units, (dont have any wepon). But shield is wepon itself, and is need to have him in move. Same with aa for prevent sneaky snipe.

This is not so offer problem because we learn that this happend and click more time move and then attack, but in some situation it can make huge problem, and it have very easy fix.

FIX:

give direct fire with 0 dmg and invisible shot with range:
T2 shield/deciver 30
T3 shield 35
T1 AA 25
T2 AA 30
T3 AA 35
engiger 40 + replace attack with attack move for start automatick reclaim/repair

What you think about this fix?

(when you click attack -> shield, aa, engies doesnt move with army -> give it invisible weapon so it does)

A bit, but I think we get what you mean :)

I don't like giving units invisible weapons to change their behavior; and it won't magically make them "do the right thing".

I would like to see this improved, though

What is worng with invisible wepon?
Only what it make is that units would go near target on that range, with same move as other units what want to shield/AA cover, so it make exaktly what is supost unit to do. When this is posoble to make with some different solution lets go do it but i think this is the easyier one, without any external effects

You want that support units like mobile shield and flak just stay behind your lines. But your suggestion is not working well in some cases. Lets say you give support units an invisible weapon with 30 range. Now attack with AEON sniper bots(range 70) and obsidians(range 20). The mobile shields would'nt protect the fragile sniper bots, neither the obsidians.

I want that my support units are spread out and that the mobile shields cover most of the combat units.

I dont know if it's possible nor if it's too complicated:
I would suggest to convert attack / move orders of support units to assist orders and distribute them over the whole selected army. A support unit is coupled with the neareast combat unit which is not assisted by another support unit. If all combat units are assisted the support unit just assist the nearest combat unit.

like assist nearest combat unit in selection which is not assisted already?
