Automated server reboots every 5 days

As everyone knows, the servers do go down, especially the update ones, and it usually goes down when Pilot is in bed sleeping (maybe it's planned this way tee heh heh).

How about setting up the servers to reboot automatically regardless of whether it is running well or not every few days at a time when pilot and the gang feels is the least busy for the day and time?

This way, pilot needs not wake up to people bitching about the server having gone down 8 hours previously, and he can sleep properly!

There is such bad thing as time zones. For somebody late sunday night in Europe might be an evening or morning in other parts of the world. Need to ask ZeP about statistics to find out an optimal time.

i like the idea.
personally i would restart the server only when a malfunction is detected.
but if you do it regularly, you clean up excess electrons from the RAM.

That would be quite senseless (what's the point? If it runs correctly, no need to restart) and won't reduce the down time (restarting the server every 5 days won't make bugs go away).
