Request: Issue\BugTracker

Postby Dragonfire » 15 Feb 2014, 12:29

Hi,
I like the forum,
but in my opinion the forum is not a good place for feature-requests and bugs ...

It is very hard to get an overview over issues.
A issuetracker, like JIRA,trac,bugzilla, ...
gives more possibility:
-sort
-link with current work
-history
...

It also shows the progress.

Ps.: And you get a free changelog ;)

I had that a while ago.

The problem is that people don't read the tracker before posting, and never go back to it.

Meaning :
- Tons of duplicate ton clean up, that takes too much time.
- When I need additional informations (like logs), I never had them.

The forum is working better for that.

Also you must be aware that I barely read any suggestion. I have a roadmap, and for patches, another team is doing it.

I understand you :(

Forum is better for users,
with a issue tracker we have duplicated data or users are afraid to use it ...

I like the idea of the bugtracker more for the upcoming things ...
For the roadmap ...
Lots of cool ideas are here around ...
But has anyone the overview?

In my experience it's better to PM errors / logs / replays as it easier to manage and doesn't draw flames from others who may not agree.
