Veterancy instant heal

Veterancy instant heal is bad, maybe the worst think in this beautiful game. I realy hate it and i am sure that it is here more people with same opinion.

Why it is bad?

Its bad because it total ruin a logic of game, -> self destruction of big T1/T2 army is best defense.
Its bad because it is unpredictable -> T4 gunship had 1300 hp you send all you 10 ASF and after one second he had 11K hp, Or you are going with ACU against 5K HP megalith for overcharge, and then he had insta heal for 16K and you are death!
Its bad because its unfair -> you send many and many against one unit and he go out from battle with more hp like he had before he start be damaged!

Complicate is better solution but it is complicate and it will be problem do it.

Uncomplicated is very easy to do, and will fix mostly of all veterancy problems.

Make 2 changes
1. Cancel instant heal after giving next veterancy level (dont ocur on ACU) only bring more max HP.
2. Add regeneration ratio for next veterancy level 2x
......

Easy to do and bring more strategy, logic and pleasure for game

Best and most logical would IMO be to increase some armour value with veterancy levels - a level 5 GC would never get more HP or max. HP, but it would receive 2/3 damage which should equal to a full HP, full veterancy GC at current balance.

If one would implement your suggestion you too would have an illogical occurrence when a full HP unit kills some stuff without getting hit and suddenly jumps into yellow cause it got more max. HP..

I vote no armour. It messes with mental damage calculations.

You know that each shot of w/e unit does X damage. But now with armour, that becomes dynamic as they do less damage against some targets.

The current solution works better as damage never changes, you just have more to chew through but you can easily tell that ahead of time. (conversely, trying to figure out how much damage you'll do to a 5 star ACU is tricky if it has 70% armour.)


That said, I don't mind vet as is.
IF I'd change anything, instead of burst healing the difference between current and next rank on rank up -just make it rapid regen. (Currently, on rank up you get X health instantly. I'm just saying make X health come in over Y seconds.)

Minor change, but if you are at like 1 hp and you rank up. You aren't suddenly at 2001 hp and in the fight with little worry. You'll get your boost, but you have to still do some evasion.
Main difference will be heavy hitters (arty, bombers) being able to kill comms mid-rank up.

Again, minor and don't really care for changing -but this would be the only change I'd care to make if I had to yadda yadda yadda.

In a patch, I've tried to make veterancy giving more max health but no healing.

I had to revert it almost immediately because people were throwing me rocks. So I guess that close the case.

Or at least can it be like mode? We are playing many games in our sk/cz community and like mode it help too. At least for people who relay hate it. I am totally sick from situation when 19K monkey totally ruin 35K defense and T1/T2 army because got so many instaheal.

how robots can even get veteranicy, or regen health because they killed alot of enemies...
this makes no sence at all, but it is just fun feature of gameplay, and it can be one of tools you can use to balance factions, like this vet nerf for jester that coming soon

What if units got their vet upgrade depending on health they had, like a GC with 50k health would get 5k health bump and the rest added to max HP as always. That way units that are nearly dead wont survive, but if they do they can regen to better health.

Becase now you cant go with weak army against XP. They had more hp like had before he start be damaged. Its unfair for people who dont build XP and decide build more T3, or T2. Normally they will be beat mass to mass but when got 50 000 hp bonus in fight it ruin many possible strategies.

Now when you see enemy XP is coing you build your own, and go back with your army from enemy XP, logical is send your army for defend your base and not autodestruction.

What is good on this mechanic? Its most frustration thing on this game for me, when i see how brutaly raise HP of monkey lord and its unable to kill depend how many units i send against him. Its brutal help for all XP units its like another feature but its from mechanic.

Problem is that im not IT , im psychologist :d I dont have any idea how to make mode and rewrite code :/
