More host control (remove X sheild)

Postby errorblankfield » 29 Nov 2013, 12:23

Simple suggestion, allow a host to move people even if they are 'ready' or 'xed up'. If a host is trying to balance teams and some guy isn't having it and just throws up an x, they only option is to balance around the jerk or kick'em. I'd much rather just be able to move them freely -of course un-xing them in the process.

It's really annoying at lower rating when people 'don't care' if the game is balanced. But that only happens when they have a low rating so they really don't have much to lose in a team game anyway. No downside to giving the host this power other than annoying people that abuse it (that I can see at least).

Thoughts?

In my first version of 'Move to slot' it's possible to move player with Ready statement, but the Lobby crash after this.
I temporary disable 'Move to slot' if the player is Ready for prevent a crash.

I not have a time for the moment for fixed this bug, but, it is already planned to be fixed later.

If the player is Ready, you can move this player to Observer, it's work.

Can't you automatically un-x the player before attempting to move him?

You can move an x-ed player to observers.

Yes... that works very slowly as they have to move themselves back in.

It'd be much better if the host could just move everyone quickly without waiting for people to move themselves back up. (And prevents jerks from stealing spots.)

But it's a temp. fix in a way.

Fixed now !

You can switch the player to other Player or AI.

(Not Ready state limitation is removed because the Hidden Bug is fixed)

You can just wait the next patch.
