Single Core Use?

I've been playing some FAF games on my new PC, and it hasn't been much faster. I looked into it, and the game seems to run off a single core. I looked through some old forum posts, and I've seen some references to this about computer benchmarking, and that they had to leave the other cores to other tasks. I even got the impression that this could also be a problem associated with my personal PC and not the game itself. I'd just like to see if this may be some forgotten topic that if fixed to use multiple cores, could really speed up games. -Thanks.

While FA is multihreaded, the sim itself (the most heavy stuff to compute) is not.

Nothing we can do about it.
