Move your units AND prioritize targets

I dont know how many games i have lost because of that.
I have 6 obsidians, and the enemy ACU is under 3000 health. but it runs away. when i order my obsidians to shoot the ACU they will just sit there and wait until the ACU is out of range. When i order them to move in the direction the ACU is fleeing they start to shoot random things instead of the ACU.
That really feels like a broken mechanik because it can fail a sure win.
If theres a way to avoid that please tell me

I seem to recall a mod where if you did a shift move followed with a shift attack, the targeted unit would also be targeted while moving. Does anyone know which mod had this?

YES! If this could be modded in it would be amazing this is one of the few flaws in the engine at annoys me to no end

cant it be just patched in? much easier.
noone would play such a mod because its too complicated just for that fact.
well but how about that mod:
advanced micro mod.
First it has much better pathfinding for all units.
then what i just mentioned
and other things like the prioritizing of unit types that i mentioned in another thread.
just a mod to improve micro

You can't change the pathfinding.

And what you are asking is a really big job.

Is it overall complicated to patch new functions in the game that require extra buttons etc.?
Well that were just some suggestions floating around in my head but i think a lot of players would approve this.
And it seems to be possible if it was in a mod how wakke mentioned it.
I dont want to seem that im demanding something because i dont have any idea about coding myself and how hard it exactly is.
