3712 ongoing development thread

Hello there,

this thread is meant to give you an overview of what is going on regarding the next game development/bugfix patch.
We're currently at Patch #3710 but I assume that the next balance patch will snag the #3711.

I will tag all Pull Requests for this patch with the 3712 milestones so you can easily filter and find them here.
The following changes are currently merged into the deploy/fafdevelop branch and thus available for public testing via the FAF client by playing the FAF Develop game mode:

  1. Refactoring - just some cleanup very amazing cleanup that improves the simulation speed
  2. Fixed - score window can be closed with [F2] but you can't open it with [F2]
  3. Fix timing of the UEF build beams
  4. More refactoring - even more very amazing cleanup
  5. Fixed position autofill window when resize the gamewindow
  6. In cheat menu added the ability to spawn with veterans and improved usability
  7. Fix building effect playing twice for command units
  8. Fix targetting of structures for beam weapons
  9. Improve Frigate sink animation rate
  10. Fix UEF Navy UI things
  11. Many small fixes and several new features for Scoreboard
  12. Don't set the center background Tiled in the popout window
  13. Ui scaling - Give option to scale the Ui for people playing with big screens
  14. Update mapblacklist - Remove desert arena v1 from blacklist
  15. Moved Mod Manager to the top menu. Reduced sound noise. - Moved Mod Manager menu from extra menu to main menu.
  16. Fixed on/off of mods dependencies in ModsManager - Fixed some bugs in the mod manager with mods dependencies
  17. Prevented unnecessary focus changes when cheats are enabled
  18. Added 4 new functions to the Engine documentation
  19. remove dragbuild from sensors - Removed dragbuild on radars/sonar/stealth field and Soothsayer
  20. Black plane - Fixed the black plane bug for maps
  21. Misc Performance Enhancements - Improved simspeed
  22. SingleRangeOverlay cleanup - Removed code that wasn't working
  23. Fix Kennel lag and animation - Improved Kennel animation and reduce lags due to kennel
  24. Massive localization fixes - Improved text display in game and translation
  25. Add Chinese translation
  26. Add support for custom map Props
  27. Improve Sim Dialogue - Improvement for dialogue button especially for coop
  28. Fixed lobby player names - Especially fix Russian name being wrongly displayed in lobby
  29. In cheat menu added placing multiple units while holding Shift
  30. Don't send results after initiating a `SafeQuit` - A fix for wrong rating reward
  31. Improved message about banning ctrl+k in coop - changed the display of the warning when trying to ctrlk ACU in coop
  32. Seraphim shader patch - changed the aesthetic of seraphim units
  33. Ru update strings_db.lua - improved russian translation

FYI the scoreboard fix also allows you to disable showing information to your allies which is a) nice to have i suppose and b) required for game modes such as PhantomX

if you want it to get merged faster then pls help testing
i don't have a 4k monitor so testing it on my end is not great...
i can still do basic tests to see if stuff breaks but not as much as i'd like to
