I vaguely recall hearing someone say that its planned to introduce ladders and true-skill ratings for mods.
I've never actually played a mod myself, but I've always kind of wondered why after all these years no mod has taken over vanilla FAF in popularity and giving it some thought recently, I think this is probably why.
I assume that some of the mods out there are very good, perhaps nearly expansion quality game updates (I've heard horror stories about a few of them as well, but I'm talking about the good ones).
So I'm curious, is this actually happening? Are there plans to support mods with the features that vanilla FAF has, ladders and rankings?
Also, what do you think such a change would do to the game? Personally I think it would increase the game's popularity quite a bit and allow the community to choose the best FAF variant. I haven't tried any mods yet, but that might be different if I saw more buzz about it in Aeolus and found that it was being played competitively.
